WHO HASN'T SEEN THE WIND?
(With apology to Christina Rossetti)
By Delbert R. Gardner
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you.
That's how the poem used to go
Before the smog came through.
"Who has seen the wind?"
Christina used to ask;
But now that air has character,
It's quite a simple task.
Who hasn't seen the wind?
Either you or I
Could tell of breezes brilliant
In sulphuric-oxide sky.
